Wine Country Classic at Brookside

September 1, 2016

Once again, I have been caught up in the business of coming home to Dreamland Farms, and have procrastinated in updating everyone on our latest show. Huge apologies! We have been very busy these last two weeks, and, on the verge of sending out our newsletter, I just realized this news page is missing!

As usual, Bugsy and Pedro competed in their Performance 3'3" Hunters and 1.10-1.15m Jumper classes, respecively. With a handful of good ribbons between the two of them, the two went home early to start resting for their long September and October months. They will be busy boys, and Brookside is always a great location for an extra tune up!

Jody and her two, Ben and Tess, continue to snag ribbons in the A/A Hunters, Amateur Equitation, and Pleasure classes.

Meagan and Lactic put in some lovely rounds to continue rocking the A/O Hunter division.

Kim and Captain took a break from the jumper ring, put on their fancy clothes, and competed in the 2'9" Hunters and the Hunter Derby, claiming ribbons, including a first!

Kristie brought Andrea's Figgy to the show to compete in the 2'9" Hunters and the Derby as well. They made a super pair, and got some great scores, finishing 7th in the Derby!

We brought a couple of sale horses along to the show as well! Ghost Buster, "Ghost," paired up with our good friend Allie, who has been busy at work, and hasn't had the opportunity to ride in a year! The two put in some great rounds in the 2'9" Hunters and Equitation, winning some super ribbons! Ghost has a great look in the ring, with auto changes and a nice big step. Ghost is offered for sale, find him here.

Polaris A, "Atlas," also competed in the 2'9" Hunters the first two days, then switched gears for the .85m and .90m jumpers! Winning a first, and good ribbons in everything else, he even claimed Reserve Champion in the .90 jumpers, even though he only competed in the division the second two days! This super versitile horse requires no lunge, and is ready to go in the show ring. He has a very big step, good change, and is super brave to hunter and jumper type fences. Atlas is offered for sale, find him here.

We also had a great time watching some horses that have come through Dreamland compete! Maureen and Harry Winston finished 8th in the Hunter Derby, and we had a blast watching Coconut Key compete with the junior who is currently leasing him!
