Northern Winter Classics III & IV
After a week of crazy weather, followed by a beautiful week of sunshine, we survived the two weeks of shows at Murieta Equine Complex! The year has begun for Dreamland Farms with new horses, new riders, and new divisions!
Halladio and Andrea competed in some very competitive Performance Hunter classes, and came home with some good ribbons amongst some amazing teams!
For Capitol, "Capitol,"--offered for sale--competed in the 1.00m jumpers the first week, winning 4 firsts and 2 seconds in his 6 classes, securing Champion for the division! We moved him up to the 1.10m jumpers the second week where he won top ribbons with other talented horses and he finished Reserve Champion!
Lego made his debut with his new owner, Lauren, in the .90-.95m jumper classes and all of the 3' medals. The two learned a lot and won a lot, as well as qualifying for a couple medal finals early in the year!
Feron and Jody had already participated in the first two weeks of the Classics in order to start collecting points for the year, but they came back with us for the last two weeks to ride in classes the whole week long! They stepped up to the plate and won two Low Child/Adult Equitation Championships, a USHJA 2'3" Hunter Reserve Championship, and a USHJA 2'6" Hunter Reserve Championship!
Bixenta, "Rizi,"--offered for sale--competed both weeks in the USHJA 2'9" Hunter divisions, winning top ribbons both weeks and securing a Reserve Champion in the division. Lauren also had the opportunity to ride her during the weekend and did a great job showing her off!
Sampros came to compete with his new owner, Ginny Cross, in the X-rail and Short Stirrup classes! We are so excited for this new friendship!
Lambis Z, "Lambis"--offered for sale--competed in the 3' Low Hunters, winning a handful of ribbons, including a first! Lauren also stepped up to the plate to ride him in the 2'9" classes on the weekend, and the two of them figured each other out quickly to win great ribbons!
Alpenglow and Amy kicked off their first show together by winning Reserve Champion in the Low Child/Adult Equitation!
We were also lucky enough to have our friends from Ligara Farms and Triple Bar Stables joining us! We had so much fun watching Susan ride Atlanta de Rosiers to a Reserve Champion in the Green 3' Hunters, Corrie ride her beautiful horse Ghost in the 3' Low Hunters, and Amanda ride Carl 64 in the 3' Children's Hunters and Junior Equitation!
