Sacramento Spring Classic
This show--along with the prior week of Memorial Spring Classic--at Murieta Equestrian Center were two new highly welcomed weeks in the Northern California Hunter Jumper community! We were excited to have a new couple weeks added to our show schedule thanks to the West Palms team!
Andrea and Halladio headed out solo the first week to shake off the dust after a little time off. Although none of us had the pleasure of watching, the two of them put in some great rounds, claiming Champion in the Low 3' Hunters division! They came back week two in the Performance 3'3" division, and chose to stay for the competitive USHJA National Hunter Derby where they finished 9th!
Katheryn and Flipper de Vie made their "official" debut as a team, and they killed it! After putting in some great rounds in the 2'6" hunters and .85m jumpers, the two finished the week claiming a top 12 ribbon in the West Palms 2'6" Hunter Derby!
Lego and Lauren chose to focus on the hunter ring this week in order to prepare for the derby at the end of the weekend. The two put in a great first round and came out with a top 12 ribbon in a super competitive Ch/AA Hunter Derby!
Lauren also got to ride Versailles--offered for sale--in the 2'6" hunters and Pre Ch/Ad Equitation, and the two put in some stunning rounds! Despite his age, this six year old has a great head on his shoulders, and matched with Lauren super well, claiming Champion in the Baby Green Hunters and Pre Ch/Ad Equitation, as well as Reserve Champion in the Training Hunters! Versailles is kind, brave, and quiet, and ready to start his show career! Find information on him here.
Thanks so much to the team at these two shows--we had a blast! We're looking forward to your next shows up at Murieta in September!
