Halloween Show

And here we find ourselves at the end of show season 2020! What an odd year it was, but we certainly are lucky to still get to go to this fun annual show!

Flipper de Vie and Katheryn officially moved up to the .95m jumpers this show, and they showed that they deserve to be there! They learned a lot and put in some great rounds!

Katheryn also rode Zerina in her hunter and equitation classes. Not only did she win top 10 in the Carolyn Day Horsemanship 31 & over, she also qualified and got to ride in the workoff for the PCHA Horsemanship Medal!

Woody Allen and Jody were determined to put in some good rides for the Carolyn Day Horsemanship class, and they did! The two of them finished with a top 10 placing!

Feron and Jody also rode together, this time for their pleasure classes. The two of them won good ribbons in each class and are looking forward to getting over fences again next year!

Callistro and Maureen have been pushing hard all year, and they weren't ready to give up yet! With a win in one of her hunter classes, she won a top 12 ribbon in the Carolyn Day Horsemanship too!

Bunbury Coral and Audrey had their schedule full of classes, and they had to ride in the big main indoor this time! They handled the situation so well, winning a few classes, and riding in the workoff section of the $1,000 Mocha Grande Pleasure Championship!

Kairo and Brittany get better every show, and to prove it, they qualified and rode in the PCHA Horsemanship Medal Finals! With some good rounds, they finished 3rd, and then won the same placing in the Carolyn Day Horsemanship 31 & Over class!

Lord Milow and Linda are finishing the year strong, with some truly great rides in the Long Stirrup classes! With consistent ribbons, they finished Reserve Champion in the division!

Don Ole put in some solid USHJA 2'6" rounds at the start of the week, and finished up winning 6th out of an intense Mocha Grande Pleasure Championship class!

City of Light and Madeline had the great opportunity to ride in two divisions, the Short Stirrup and the Short Stirrup Ponies! They learned a lot, put in some great rides, and finished Champion in the Short Stirrup Ponies and Reserve Champion in the Short Stirrup!

Halladio and Andrea rocked the Performance 3'3" Hunters this week, winning good ribbons in every class and finishing Reserve Champion! They also rode in the $20,000 Haunted Hunter Derby, where they won an awesome 6th place ribbon out of a competitive bunch of horses!

Lego and Lauren finished the year with a bang! The top Low Ch/Ad Jumper rides were insanely competitive, and these two chose some incredible paths to shorten their times in the jump offs! They finished Reserve Champion in the Low Ch/Ad Jumpers, and won--by a landslide!--the Pheasant Grove Jump for a Jump!

Proud Diamond Lad, "Moose,"--offered for sale--got to come to one more show with Amy for the .85m and 55&over jumpers! This kind horse trailered in Thursday afternoon, schooled like he had been there all week, and the pair of them did great! With a win and a couple good ribbons, they won Reserve Champion in the 55&over Jumpers!

Hugo D had one more chance to show, this time with Marcel in the Carolyn Day Horsemanship and the A/A Hunters! After winning some good ribbons in big classes at the start of the week, this former jumper put in some amazing hunter and equitation rounds, winning 4th place in both the Carolyn Day Horsemanship 31 & over and the Hunterville Equitation for a Jump!

It was a little tough handling this big show after 4 straight weeks of showing, but we made it! We are so grateful for everyone we work with, our grooms, our clients, and the horseshow staff for making the show run smoothly for us. 6 rings is a lot to handle, and even with two of us, we never stopped moving! Thank you to everyone for a great year, we will see you all in 2021!
