   ABOUT US

Dreamland Farms was established in Dixon in 1984 as a sale facility, founded by Andrea Barbee with the goal of helping horses find their way from one home to another. Our main interest focuses on horses and ponies in the Hunter/Jumper community, although we do work with a few select Dressage and Eventing horses. We also offer layup services, a safe environment for layovers for haulers and tanning companies, as well as a successful lesson and training program. Our horses are pampered with round the clock care as we live on our 60+ acre farm.

ANDREA BARBEE
Owner - Head Trainer

Andrea Barbee has been a staple in the Northern California Hunter/Jumper community for over 50 years. After learning from various respected trainers in her youth, Andrea went on to find success with her own horses in the show ring, winning Medal Finals and countless Hunter and Jumper Championship Awards. Early-on in her teens, she chose to dedicate her career to taking in horses and finding new, appropriate, and loving homes for them. Andrea has an incredible eye for seeing a horse's potential, even if it is in a different direction than its past. Over the years she has built countless connections with trainers and professionals in the industry. She has a keen understanding for the kinds of horses that thrive in each program, and she is able to use that knowledge to create lasting and winning partnerships. As a trainer, she creates a friendly community where her students can learn and truly enjoy their rides, whether they are working on the basics at home, or heading into the show ring.

NICOLE ROWORTH
Assistant Trainer

Nicole Roworth began her riding career in local English/Western shows in the Sacramento area. As time went on, she found a love for the Hunter/Jumper world and focused her riding goals in that direction. Nicole received a scholarship to CSU Fresno to ride on the NCEA Equestrian Team, where she was immersed in a world of catch riding across the country. After graduation, she joined Andrea Barbee as a professional rider, helping to rehome hundreds of great horses. Nicole enjoys watching her horses gain confidence and helping her students learn new skills, while at the same time appreciating the opportunities she gets to achieve her own goals!
